The Next Generation of Assitive Technology

See our novel wearables for the visually impaired and blind, using our patent pending technological framework.

Purpose

We are dedicated to improving the lives of the blind with our industry specific ability of being able to locate and guide our patients to the critical objects that they need when entering a new environment, for example a door, chair, or bathroom sign.

Software

Our system mainly consists of a custom Convolutional Neural Network model that is loaded via a docker container allowthe user to train and detect the nearest objects that the user determines to be most critical to them for finding. Examples of objects that users use the most are the modes that find their surroundings' doors, chairs, bathroom signs, and bus stops.

Hardware

Our previous hat models generally ran on a Raspberry Pi 4B microprocessor, but we are downsizing the main chip to be a custom fabbed microcontroller that utilizes two ESP-32s. This allows for our entire apparatus to be fitted on a single PCB chip, making our product extremely light weight and cost/power efficient.
